Dr. Laura Kemmer

Laura is an urban researcher who works on conflicts of healing and reparation in the center of São Paulo, in particular residents’ relations to urban elements such as water and soil/sediments.

Ongoing research projects include Designing with the Planet. Connecting Riparian Zones of Struggle in São Paulo, Jakarta and Berlin (with Jamie Baxter, South Designs Initiative), Re-Scaling Global Health (PI Sandra Jasper and Dorothee Brantz, Berlin University Alliance), »Urban Evidentiary Ecologies« (with Fraya Frehse, Global Center of Spatial Methods for Urban Sustainability) and »Planet-ability« (PI David Sperling / Jamie Baxter, DAAD-CAPES Probral).
