Mareen Baumeister

Mareen Baumeister is a multidisciplinary designer working at the intersection of ecology and technology with a focus on researching materials and their manufacturing processes. She investigates the network of ecological, historical, political and social forces that shape the material world, deals with waste management and the development of alternative strategies. For this purpose, she questions and reflects on behaviors, develops not only new materials, but also production methods to open up perspectives. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts and a Master's degree in Product Design from the Weißensee School of Art and Design.
