Translational Network Neuroscience: Nine Roadblocks and Possible Solutions
New Publication on the Importance of Personalized Medicine for Patients with Neurological Diseases
The recently published article explores the challenges preventing advanced brain network analysis methods from being used in everyday medical care. In this work, the interdisciplinary team identified nine key barriers, from theoretical foundations to ethical considerations, that currently limit the use of these promising methods in clinical settings. For each challenge, practical solutions based on our research experience are proposed. The authors, including Cluster Members Lucius S. Fekonja, Petra Ritter, Boshra Shams, and Thomas Picht, emphasize the need for collaboration across different fields to overcome these obstacles. Their work aims to advance personalized medicine and improve care for patients with neurological disorders by bridging the gap between cutting-edge neuroscience research and practical clinical application.
